Welcome to the Chipping Sodbury Yacht Club
The club was formed in 1983 after 2 members adjourned to the Poole yacht club after a day sailing around Brownsea island. Their reception was not good as they found the club full of rules and regulations they found difficult to adhere to. One was asked to leave as he was wearing a captains hat, and it was gruffly explained that only the commodore was allowed to wear a hat in the clubhouse.
